Wildlife Hunting Games Online

Wildlife Hunting Games Online

There are a lot of wildlife hunting games online for you to play.  The only real question is, what species are you interested in to hunt?  From big game hunting games to bird hunting games to taking a trip across safari, there is a lot of options.

I personally don’t feel most online wildlife hunting games have enough options or there isn’t enough bandwidth to give it a true feel.  Your best bet is to purchase your hunting game of choice, then simply use the Multi-Player or online version of the game (it’s hard to find a PC game nowadays that doesn’t support an online multi-player mode).  Whether you know someone or not playing the game, no worries.  I’ve found that each game has a lot of communities available where you can find people to play.

So my advice is if you’re looking to play wildlife hunting games online is to purchase the game so you have a thicker client to play with and the performance should be much better.

Happy Gaming!

Hunting Computer Games

Hunting Computer Games

The first of the long line of hunting computer games started in the 80s for me on my dad’s old IBM PCjr.  We still have that computer, actually…maybe they’ll come one day for it to go to a museum.  It’s hard to find working machines of that age these days, but that’s for another day. :)

The graphics were of course, poor to put it kindly.  But for the time it just couldn’t get any better.

I’m curious what hunting computer game was the first?  If anyone knows, please drop me a line.  I’ve been striking out doing research online for old hunting computer games.

Safari Hunting Free Games

Safari Hunting Free Games

One of the first online safari hunting game was probably Browning African Safari. This game is available online as shareware, I believe around $20 has been the typical cost where I’ve seen it.

What’s most unique about the game compared to other hunting games, is the hunted can fight back. Meaning, you could end up being the hunted and that makes for an interesting element. This Safari Hunting Game allows you to hunt Rhinos, Zebras, Crocodiles, Lions, Impalas, Wildebeest, and even Cape Buffalo. You hunt this game in a 360 degree angle, which is the typical interface found in games today.

It’s available for a free download one many sites. It’s worth a look.

Texas Goose Hunting Outfitter

Texas Goose Hunting Outfitter

I just wanted to say I had some great goose hunting in Texas with Webfoot Connection. They are a Texas Goose Hunting Outfitter and run one of the cleanest outfits I’ve ever seen. Just good people all around.

If you’re looking for a goose hunting guide in Texas, look them up!

Gun Hunting Games

Gun Hunting Games

When I think back to when I first saw gun hunting games, the original Nintendo Duck Hunter comes into my mind.  That was the first gun hunting game for home use.  Not that long after Operation Wolf, an arcade game,  came into the arena.  I’m not ashamed to admit that I spent a quarter or two in that one. ;)

Nowadays, gun hunting games have come full circle.  More and more game systems are adding gun attachments for various games.  While the styles of guns have changed, the accuracy had a long time before it caught up with the latest technology.  We’re getting closer than ever to pinpoint accuracy.  And I’m curious to see what the industry will come up with next.  Since the age of Doom and other games, the consumer is driving more realism - it will come soon.

Atari Fishing Games?

March 20, 2008 – 1:19 pm

I’m having a problem finding information on Atari Fishing Games - does one exist?  I’ve searched the common Atari databases but didn’t see one.  But I know there was a ton of underground games made for the Atari.  If anyone knows of an Atari Fishing Game, please let me know!

Goose Hunting Games

March 11, 2008 – 9:35 pm

I am a goose hunter, and I have to say I haven’t seen anything remotely close to a semi-good goose hunting game to play. There’s maybe a “honk” button (clicking on the goose call), and there doesn’t seem to be much skill at all (if the AI has any skill built into it other than honking or not).

I think the industry needs to consult with a true goose hunter before thinking about building their next game. They do the same for every sports game, skateboarding, and on and on…why not with goose hunting? Or any hunting or fishing game for that matter, the industry needs to approach their development from a different angle. That’s my 2 cents.

Reviews on Wii Fishing Games

March 5, 2008 – 10:15 am

Currently, there isn’t a large amount of options for hunting and fishing games for the Wii. Hopefully that will change soon.

However, I have play Sega Bass Fishing for the Nintendo Wii. If I’m going to offer reviews on Wii fishing games, this will be my first.

This bass fishing game parallels a long line of bass fishing games from previous gaming systems. The graphics have gotten better, there is a larger map, and it also offers more gaming options; but the drawback is the actual Wii style itself. After playing this game for a couple hours, you can get a sore wrist in a hurry. Now throwing thousands of casts is nothing new to me, from bass fishing to musky fishing, but it’s just not the same as the Wii console.

I was actually given this game from a buddy as in his words, “I got sick of it”. I probably played 3-4 sessions and on the last session is when I got a sore wrist. Makes you wonder if the Wii will someday be responsible for some cases of carpel tunnel syndrome, but that remains to be seen. To the games credit, it is fun and enjoyable. And by using the Wii console, it offers more realistic action to casting than just pressing a button in previous systems. So with that being said I will give this game a 6.5 out of 10.

Fishing Game for Kids

February 25, 2008 – 9:13 pm

I stumbled across this game the other day and thought it was worth sharing. I have a youngster and although he’s not quite at the age to play the game, his obsession with electronics will lead him there eventually. There isn’t many learning games for kids that involve fishing, not with it being as PC the other day but oh well.

Fishing Game for Kids - It’s basically a spelling game for youngsters in a fishing environment.
